During this month of April, at the church where I am on staff, I am teaching a Sunday morning class titled “St. Paul: Friend or Foe?” Paul’s letters, as readers may know, are a subject of major interest for me, and specifically, I have always been passionate about sharing my own affinity for the Apostle with those who don’t often share my passion for him. That is the purpose of this class: to communicate a new understanding of Paul and his letters in a space where Paul is more often held to be controversial.
The church is recording this series, and I am happy to share it here over the coming weeks, as a bonus to my regular essays (next one coming late next week!) So, enjoy the first class!
